Laudato Si Retreat with Sr Adele Howard: Sun 27 June – Sat 3 July 2021

 

The Retreat will focus on the themes andspirituality of ‘Laudato Si’ (Pope Francis’Encyclical on Care for our Common Home.

Adele is a Sister of Mercy who has a deep love of the ‘land’,shown in her formal theology studies on ‘The Land As Sacred’. She has taught from this and has produced and presented many interactive documentaries and online resources on the quest for integration of God’s creative action in our world and the call to awaken our hearts to save ‘our common home’. For Adele, Laudato Si’ is a profound gift of hope, guidance and healing for our time. Adele is a member of the Religious Orders working group set up by the Vatican Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development to assist with the implementation of the ‘LaudatoSi’ Action Platform.

Understanding Laudato Si Series

This series is based on Fr Daniel Horan’s series on Laudato Si. Fr Horan is a well known American Franciscan Friar, Speaker and Author. Participants will go on a journey to reflect on the message of Pope Francis’ Encyclical on “Laudato Si” and the Care for our Common Home.

MONTHLY GATHERINGS (MAY – SEPT) AT SEVILLE MERCY CONFERENCE CENTRE

8 May, 12 June, 10 July, 7 August, 11 September 2021
Saturdays 9am – 10.30am
Total cost is $60 and includes a copy of theEncyclical Laudato Si and morning tea
Series will consist of video input, group discussions, reflection and prayer
Series provide 5 hours of Teacher Accreditation To Teach in a Catholic school
